DXL Control on (F5) refresh of attribute values for Trigger based Module.

Background :

I have a script where in I am using the below Trigger, which would call in the script which has logic to update the Attribute Value if an Object is modified or a new Object is created.

Trigger T1 =  trigger("mod", module->attribute  , post , save, 10 , newDXL)      

Problem :

The trigger absolutely works fine if I update an Object or add a new Object but when I just press the F5 key, I see that the current selection, even though its not an edited / new object., the Trigger is called and the Attribute Value is updated for the current Object.

Looking for :

Is there any way to control the F5 key press in the Module so that I am making sure that only edited / new Objects alone are having the Attributes updated and the Trigger script should not be called on F5 key press.

Any Other solutions / suggestions ??
